IGOR LAZIĆ, horn and chamber music
Professor at the Faculty of Music – University of Arts in Belgrade
IGOR LAZIĆ was born in 1978 in Belgrade. He started to play the french horn at the age of ten in the class of Prof. Zoran Mrđenović in Music school “Dr. Vojislav Vucković”. After finishing the first level of studies in Prof. Stjepan Rabuzin’s class at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, he continued his studies at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen (Germany) in the class of Professor Francis Orval, where he completed the highest level of studies in the field of music (Solistische Ausbildung). In 2005, he received his master’s degree at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. In 2013, he got his Ph.D. diploma in chamber music.
Since 2001, he has been the solo horn player of the Belgrade Philharmonic. Since 2003, he has been working at the Department of Chamber Music at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he currently holds the title of associate professor.
Lazić participated in the work of numerous chamber ensembles, such as the Brass Ensemble of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, the Belgrade Horn Quartet, the Trossingen Brass Quintet, the Pulank Blaeser Quintet, the “Isang Yun” Ensemble (New music ensemble), the “Altemusik” Ensemble (early music ensemble). In the summer of 2001, he participated in the summer tour of the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester, conducted by Ivan Fisher and Franz Welser Moest. Since 1995, he has been performing as a soloist with chamber and symphony orchestras in the country and abroad.
